Patrol Picnic

Our annual patrol picnic will be held again at Lake Monocan.

We look forward to seeing as many people as possible on the 11th! Lake Monocan opens for activities at 11am, if you or your family wish to swim!

DIRECTIONS: Lake Monocan is in the valley off of Rt 151. If you are driving south on 151, turn right into Stoney Creek golf course just before Nellysford. Follow that road a couple of miles and take a right on Camping Ridge Rd. There should be a sign for the lake there.

Wintergreen will be providing meat (TBD), sodas/water, and condiments. We ask that everyone bring a side dish or dessert … enough for six people. Yes, BYOB rules are in place. Food is normally ready around 1200-1230, depending on the cook(s). This is a rain or shine event! We do have the Monocan building in the event of rain.

An Instructor Development course will be held on June 12th in the patrol room at Wintergreen. It will be wonderful to have even more instructors who are vital in sustaining our large and award-winning family/patrol.

Candidate ski/snowboard and sled training will occur every Saturday and Sunday in January and February. Training will take place on March weekends, conditions permitting, and depending on the availability of suitable terrain and instructors.

The Wintergreen Ski Patrol summer picnic and annual meeting will be held on June 10th, 2023 at Lake Monocan. Details will come out about times and CPR prior to the picnic. This is a family friendly event and the lake should be open for swimming for anyone who wishes to partake!
